Welcome to our Children and Young People Zone
Everyone feels stressed, scared, grumpy, sad or angry from time to time. Our moods can change quickly or one particular feeling can stick around for a while and change the way we might behave or act with people. How you feel and the mood you are in make up what is known as your ‘emotional wellbeing’.
Sometimes how you’re feeling will make you act in ways that might not be like you or how your family and friends are used to you being. When this happens it is sometimes necessary and really helpful to talk with and let some new people, who are specially trained, to help you find out why you’re feeling and acting the way you are. This is where we can help.
Here at 2gether’s Children and Young Person Service (CYPS for short) we have lots of people who are available to offer you help and support. You can find out about some of the people who work at CYPS and are here to help you by clicking here.
We have helped lots of children and young people through difficult times. A number of children and young people that we have helped have told us that doctors, parents and carer's tend to use words that they've not heard of before when talking about feelings and emotional wellbeing. With their help we have put together a list of words and phrases that you might hear and what they mean in your words. You can read this here.
