Managing Memory 2gether is a service for people worried about memory, people with dementia and carers of people with dementia.
Worried about memory?
If you are worried about your own or someone else’s memory it is important to seek expert help and advice as early as possible.

What is Dementia?
Dementia is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) that is associated with an ongoing decline of the brain and its abilities. These include memory, thinking, language, understanding and judgement.

Why it is important to get help early?
An early diagnosis can help people with dementia get the right treatment and support, and help those close to them to prepare and plan for the future. With treatment and support, many people are able to lead active, fulfilled lives.

How to access the Memory Assessment Service
Most people are referred to our Memory Assessment Service by their GP.
You can also refer yourself directly to the Service by calling us on 0800 694 8800. We would advise that you seek help from your GP in the first instance to rule out other possible causes for memory loss.
If you feel unable to talk to your GP about your own or a family member's memory problems, contact us directly. We will provide advice on next steps which may include arranging an appointment with the memory assessment team
Managing Memory 2gether Information and Education Service
This service is aimed at providing information, education and support to people affected by dementia or who are worried about memory.
The service is led by ²gether and has been developed in partnership with carers, Carers Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire County Council and the local Alzheimer’s Society. The service offers telephone support, written information, referral to other services and advice on a wide range of topics. You can read more in our leaflet.
