Prison Mental Health In-reach Service
2gether's Prison Mental Health In-reach Service is provided for adult prisoners. It ensures that prisoners with mental health needs receive treatment whilst in prison.
The service consists of comprehensive assessment and treatment, liaison with other agencies and specialist advice, support and training to prison and health staff thereby ensuring continuity of care.
The team also work to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness in prison. They also assist in the reduction in levels of self-harm and suicide within the prison through working in partnership with safer custody officers and prison staff.
