Quality and Performance

Trust Performance

As with all areas of the NHS, 2gether is measured against a number of targets and performance standards.  To give you an overview of our results, we have provided links to all of the published reports.

The Care Quality Commission is England’s independent health and social care regulator.  Their aim is to ensure better care for everyone in hospital, in a care home and at home.

Quality Risk Profiles (QRP)

2gether NHS Foundation Trust is required, under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and declare our compliance against a set of 16 essential standards of quality and safety outcomes for each area that we operate in.

We do this not only by completing the CQC’s Provider Compliance Assessment record but by also using the comprehensive Quality and Risk Profile (QRP) tool.

What is the QRP?

The QRP brings together a wide range of information accessable by the CQC about our Trust.

They combine both quantitative and qualitative information from a range of sources. These sources can include existing nationally held data sets from the Department of Health and national assessments carried out by the CQC or information from people who use services and stakeholders.

We will be updating our QRPs monthly and the CQC aim to use this information to support how they monitor our compliance with the essential standards of quality and safety.

How will the QRP be used?

The QPR is a really useful tool for us as a Trust in assessing where risks lie and play a key role in our own internal monitoring.

As the profile will be updated continuously and a new version will be issued each month, it will enable us to keep track of changes in the estimates for each of the essential standards.

It is important to recognise that QRPs do not produce judgements about the extent of our compliance. CQC Inspectors make these judgements, and they use the QRPs as a starting point to their enquiries.

Financial Management

In 2009/10 our financial management was rated as excellent, we were assessed as performing strongly with a relatively low financial risk.

Patient Surveys

The annual national NHS Patient Survey is being posted out to our service users over the next month. This is an independent survey - we do not know who completes the form. If you receive a survey, please share your views about the care you received with us. For more information, visit http://www.nhssurveys.org/
