Who uses our services?
2gethers Substance Misuse Strategic Service Unit provides support for clients with drug and alcohol misuse problems. We work with service users who want to achieve abstinence or to reduce the harm they are causing themselves.
How can we help?
Our community teams provide a prescribing service for service users with a moderately high level of need. This involves more intensive treatment than provided in primary care and is aimed at service users whose addiction problems are complicated by issues such as pregnancy, childcare, co-morbid mental illness, homelessness or misuse of more than one substance.
We have strong links with non-statutory agencies, social services and other community-based treatment providers. We also work with colleagues in hospital trusts and our Criminal Justice Drugs Team (CJDT) provides specialist assessment, care co-ordination and treatment packages for clients in the criminal justice system.
